FOUNDER, LPC

Founder of Hope Connects Counseling, Shelley has a passion for building bridges for those needing access to quality mental health care. Shelley is currently a PhD-Candidate in Psychology and Counseling, and she earned two Master’s degrees - one in Marriage and Family Therapy and the second in Education - in 2013. She currently teaches graduate level courses in psychology and counseling and is excited to help train the next generation of therapists! Shelley specializes in many areas, including, but not limited to:

- Anxiety & Depression
- Trauma (Single Episode & Complex Trauma)
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)
- IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed
- Divorce Care
- Women’s Issues
- College Student Concerns
- Spiritual Issues and/or Abuse

While Shelley works primarily with adults 18+, she has extensive clinical experience with children, teenagers, and adults. When she’s not in the office, Shelley enjoys being active through triathlon training and other outdoor activities. She’s an active member of her church and enjoys time with friends and family. Whenever she gets the chance, Shelley loves to play with Hope Connect’s therapy dog, Maggie, too.
